Anything noteworthy? For me its suprising how few americans. Canada is dominating.

Who was the Fin on Vegas last year?
Yeah even though it is trivial Stanley Cup has avoided Finns. 14 different winners. Czechs has 29 and Swedes 42. The amount of Finns and Czechs that has played in NHL does not differ much. Out of the 20+ Germans who have played regularly 5 has won.

But like I said rather trivial.

Tampa didn't have any Finns either. Same for St. Louis and Washington. So it's obviously not true.
However, you can't win the cup without Russians unless you're the Chicago Blackhawks. No Russians + Corey Perry = Edmonton has no chance. ZERO chance!

You can't win without a fin

More like "You can´t win with a fin." Finnish players are masters of losing the Cup-finals. I might as well already say: Congratulations for the Stanley Cup Oilers! The finnish curse is way more stronger than the canadian one.

Fun fact: there's never been a finnish captain in a stanley cup winning team
Well to be fair only four European captains have raised the trophy. There haven´t been Czechs either.

There is something to be said for having a lot of Canadian players on a club. 18 Canadians on the Oilers.

Even Derek Ryan, the lone American played for the University of Alberta Golden Bears.

Draisaitl, the lone German, played his junior hockey in the WHL in Canada.

Strong Canadian connections for the Oilers.

Though he hasn't played, Stolarz has dressed for every game so that makes it 3 Americans for Florida. Still, 4 Americans in the Stanley Cup Final is the fewest since 1987 (2, Mark Howe and Ed Hospodar).

Finns, Russians and Americans are all probably pulling pretty hard for Florida to the extent they care about national representation on Stanley Cup winners.

The last time a team won the Cup and did not have a prominent Russian player was Chicago in 2014-15. Florida has 3 Russian players, one of whom is prominent (Goaltender Sergei Bobrovksy), Edmonton has none.
