Just wondering how some of the superstars/ fastest/ best skaters in the league tie their skates.
whether they wrap around their leg, not tie top eyelid, skip eyelids, or just plain normal. Thanks.

Also have you ever seen a player not tie the top 2 eyelids on their skates.

Good luck on the thread, but if your looking for "tips" hit the gym. These guys fly around the ice cause the thighs are tree trunks in size.

As for style, it doesn't really matter IMO. I mean the only "style" a skater can do when tying their skates is to do the flop.

I don't know if this is what your looking for or not but clearly you can see Ovie ties his laces all the way up.

It's all personal preference. Gaborik for instance tapes the hell out of his skates:

Pavel Bure also taped his skates:

Grabner flops the tongue and skips the top eyelet, then ties around the skate:

Phil Kessel just laces up normally:

its all about personal preference and skate design. the thing about NHL guys is they are wearing skates that can be customized to their feet. my skates are customs, size 7.5 with a size 9 side wall. because they go higher then a normal skate would, i skip the top eyelet
