NHL Live breaks down the best candidates to win the 2015 Norris Trophy including LA King, Drew Doughty.

EJ Hradek talks about number 21 on his list of the 30 most impactful players in the NHL, Jeff Carter of the Los Angeles Kings.

Doughty will never win a Norris, unless he stops taking nights off in the regular season.

Unfortunately the Norris is now about point production.

Yep, but if the team actually scores during the regular season, I could see him putting up 50+ points again. If he continues playing stellar D, that could be enough to win it for him.

The Kings need a year where the PP is top Five. Guys like Yandle/Weber/Kieth get a lot of their points from PP's. Gabo may help that this year, he is the PP player the Kings have been missing.

Also for god sakes Drew.....USE YOUR WRIST SHOT PLEASE.

I would say that he only has a shot if the team doesn't do it's annual nose dive through January and February. We're used to it now and it's kind of like last season's playoffs (oh, we've spotted them two goals? We're going to win), but it does horrific things to individual stats and Doughty is going to have to have ungodly stats and a ton of highlights to get east coast media to justify watching him. It's sad but true.
