I'm pretty sure that's where certain posters come from. They post their terrible trade proposals that vastly benefit the Habs and think they're smart, come here and then I flame them and get in trouble, but I've cut drastically back on that.

I only used the other forum for the French section to practice my French, but that was years ago, like maybe even a decade ago.

I posted there not too long ago ie. 2023 and it has definitely disappeared. It would be nice to know what has happened. Media is going through some phases for sure. Bell closed a very popular sports radio station out west that was affiliated with TSN and did so with very little notice.

This is exactly why a Habs sponsored forum should never of even existed.
No way could they survive the vitriol we see here and continue merrily on their way.

Nothing beats Alt.sports.hockey.NHL..Montreal.Canadiens. or something like that. The old Usenet forum. Quite a list of characters. Was great, unmoderated madness.

I wish the "'English Only" rule was excepted for HFHabs just to see how truly unhinged it can get in here. (yes I know people still post in French a lot anyways)

Crazy. Like many people here, I used to go on there back in the days too until I found HF.

Didn't really like the Canadiens forum but definitely had some good memories there. That's too bad because I'm sure a lot of them were devastated just like many of us would be if HF shut down.
