Some of these guys are so lazy. The Daily FaceOff guy, in his final 6/27 rankings, says,

36. Jett Luchanko, C (Guelph, OHL)

I was initially concerned about his size – 5-foot-11, 170 pounds. I would like to see more muscle on him. "

This was from the NHL Combine 3 weeks earlier;
  • Jett Luchanko: 5-foot-11, 187 pounds."
I don't see how I can take their opinion seriously if they don't take their jobs seriously. Does he not know about the Combine, or was he too lazy to check the results before spouting off(and wrongly)?

Based on the SJ/Buf trade, I'd say the cost of getting to #10 would be #13 + #45 + maybe one of our 5ths.

Would essentially guarantee us one of: the top 5 D or Lindstrom/Catton/Iginla/Demidov.

NJ doesn't have a 2nd round pick, which is why there's a chance they might be interested.

I’d be down to do this. We can afford to part ways with a couple picks.

Fingers crossed our 1st round pick is McGroarty. I would be okay with giving up to 13+45 to get it done, though I'm curious if it could be done for something like 13+Lorenz/O'Rourke/Healey/Spacek. Basically a prospect that doesn't have the value of a 2nd but Winnipeg may wanna take a chance on.

I'd also be good with moving up using those same assets. If Iginla is gone by 8, would Calgary want 13+45+prospect for 9? Would Seattle want a similar deal due to their relative lack of prospect depth?

I wouldn't even know where to begin speculating on who we might be able to draft with the 1st until after pick 7 if the plan is to just keep that pick.

Pronman’s final mock has us taking Iginla at 13. That would be a dream
I would be shocked if he drops below 9th, and I would be shocked and appalled if he gets to 13. The name and bloodline alone should be enough for CGY to take him, especially after seeing how Josh Doan was treated in Arizona.

Two Norwegians could get picked in the 1st round before the first Swede. Norwegian tabloids love it.."only hockey is where Sweden has been better, maybe not anymore" :D
