There's money in points if you are capable of getting them, in order to get Strome to do that you need to sign him long term because the team will throw it in their face, like mtl is doing to danault that they are just a shut down forward with no points. I'm more talking about a guy like Goodrow now that he's signed, points don't matter as much when you already have your contract, you can mold him into a shut down center and save yourself the hastle of paying a guy 6 mill to do it.

And you much do you think it would take to lock Strome up long term? He making 4.5 right now.

He's a kid you take a flyer on. Absolutely dominant in MN HS hockey. Going to the Gophers as well. Really like snagging him. Must have been a rumbling he was getting taken in a few picks.
