Amazing Kriderman level of care or casual care?

I think this is what the current front offices plan is. They feel they have offense in spades, especially if they feel confident Laff, Kakko and Kravtsov hit their potential. You have those three plus Panarin, Zib, Chytil and Kreider.

What they don't have is strong bottom 6 players who are defensively responsible while chipping in some production. Now one can argue Buch could be that, but with how their current cap is structured, they couldn't invest another $6MM in a winger. They need to redistribute that cap into the center and bottom 6 positions (bottom 6 players such as Goodrow and Blais).

This makes me feel like Eichel is not the target. It's either going to be a UFA Signing like Danault or a trade that no one sees coming. I then see them adding someone like Bellamere on the cheap.

Stromes cap hit plus another ~$1.5MM will go to that center. He'll be dealt for a vet LD.

Laff - Zib - Kakko
Panarin - Chytil - Kravstov
Kreider - Danault - Goodrow
Blais - Rooney - Bellamere

Didnt danault basically refuse a deal because he was going to be a 3c in mtl?

You wait on Eichel, what’s the rush now?

If he goes to another team, they’ve paid a lot and you can live it it. Otherwise let’s see how he starts the season (if at all) and reassess once Gallant gets a hold of the team.

Strome will have his obligatory break in period and once he starts breaking out you look for a partner. Unless something hard to pass up comes along now but I’d go to war with what we have now and not tinker too much more.

Especially after what Buch fetched. if he has that type of rep around the league Stromes value can’t be much different even if he’s a center. He’s a black cloud too. Can’t explain it but true

Sign a solid low pair vet dman who can move the puck and go to camp

I wish Strome would commit to not cheating to break out of the defensive zone on every shift then

There's money in points if you are capable of getting them, in order to get Strome to do that you need to sign him long term because the team will throw it in their face, like mtl is doing to danault that they are just a shut down forward with no points. I'm more talking about a guy like Goodrow now that he's signed, points don't matter as much when you already have your contract, you can mold him into a shut down center and save yourself the hastle of paying a guy 6 mill to do it.

We have 3 of the next 9 picks. If we can get 3 of
Savage, Stjernborg, Gilmartin, Dower-Nilsson, Montgomery, Rysavy, Blake, Z.Bardakar, Chaisson

I will be happy with this draft.
