Should I realistically care about anyone we drafted? Serious question.

I think Othmann is worth caring about. Personally I think if you're going to roll the dice on a potential franchise goalie in the 1st, a wacky draft like this one is the time to do it, so I would have taken Wallstedt - but Othmann is a good pick for where we drafted.

I don't want Danault either. Sure he is a good shut down guy but you can make any decent center who skates well into a shut down guy if they commit to it and if you don't expect offense from them.

Jackie has that fun business in front, dirty party in the back kind of purposefully hidden naughtiness. I imagine she would appeal to a very hard to please Madonna/whore complex audience as well. She’s a wee thing, some would call her a spinner. In short, she’s hot.
Yeah but when I Googled her and saw more of that face, not as hot as I thought. Either she's better on video & live than photos or they makeup team on Sportsnet have done a good job.

I can’t shake the feeling that we could have traded down to like 22 and still gotten him

So basically you replacing an offensive player with a defensive player with more $ and more term. After trading Buchnevich, do the Rangers have enough offense to do that? Wondering out loud.
I think we had too many offensive players and not enough defensive ones. Also giving Chytil minutes could easily replace Strome's points.

I wish Strome would commit to not cheating to break out of the defensive zone on every shift then

Trying to look at the thing holistically, if they want to go the Eichel+Mika route (yikes) it makes sense to clear cap and round out the rest of the roster and maybe even the system with people who are much more reliable than Eichel and Mika are. But who knows.

It's easy to beat up on Drury over the trade but the decisions with the center position and the Buch/Zib contracts were always going to be super difficult. Ton of risk on all sides.

Yes we do and Daneault is not an offensive black hole that some say. He's a 50 point guy and that would likely increase playing with Panarin. He also does everything else better than Strome. The only question is if you sign him to a 5.5/7 type of contract.

I feel like its Eichel or Mika, not Eichel and Mika. I just dont think theyre the Crosby/Malkin caliber players to make investing such money into 2 centers worth it
