If last year represented what felt like a strategic use of assets and the management of those assets, this year feels a little more...free-spirited.

FA hasn't even opened yet and we need to avoid long-term deals since we have Fox & Zibby up for big deals.

I wouldn't be surprised if we hand out slightly inflated one year deals to some aging vets (Chara). Or reasonable 2-3 year deals to someone like Suter.

I don't know, you would have to ask the GM. There are many ways they can go with the cap space. It doesn't have to be done today.

We got a 2nd round pick for Buch. We just drafted Ryder Korczak. Now all we have to do is sign Halak, then we can trade them all for Eichel.
