He had a couple given they blew Seattle out on sunday and then had the off day yesterday.Maybe Hoffman needs a few days of rest?
This is so disheartening. Hoffman looked so good early, what happened?
Who knows, he struck out the first batter easily. Then he started throwing off speed stuff when he has a great fastball. Similar thing happened the other times he got shelled.Just looks like the guy is in a funk right now

Hopefully they continues to the trade deadline and we move him for a strong returnBo's slug % is steadily rising.

Compared to Romano? Yeah, everything about Hoffman's numbers still looks a lot better despite the recent blow-ups.Hoffman no longer looking like the clear better choice for closer anymore lol. Two really rough outings can really hurt that era
This is exactly as i called it too. The AL East had no standout favorite like say, the NL West as all 5 teams had pretty significant weaknesses but at the same time, boom/bust potential where they could all easily finish between 70-90 wins. Fangraphs projections were even more tight iirc.I don't think anyone, including the Jays, will be out of it come the deadline. Doubt very much Toronto will be selling.
Kirk’s throwing right now is the best I can remember from a Jays catcher in a very very long time.
Yes but when i watch Kirk on base i'd say the acceleration might actually be negativeForce = mass x acceleration.
I would have expected his gravitational pull to bring all the balls back to home plate but apparently notFun fact: Varsho has more HR so far this year than his dad had in any of his big league seasons.
Also Kirk puts that mass to good use again, generating sufficient force. Physics!
