Romano was money before his injuries.

That said, Hoffman can pitch multiple innings, which is something Romano always struggled with.

That scenario doesn’t happen very often but it’s probably worth 4-5 wins a year and even more in the playoffs where it happens more often.

Yeah Romano had a great 3 years. That's often all a high leverage reliever will get out of their career. It's just how the cookie crumbles.

Once his arm gave out last year he was done. One thing the Jays are good at is evaluating pitching talent. Pete knew that Romano was done.
