This is a really shitty go for the A's because they're going to have to at least dip into the bullpen because you can't just leave these stiffs in to give up 23 runs an inning.

They could really put a dent into the look of the rest of this series if they can keep it rolling. 33-0 final incoming.

I'd still ditch Straw and bring up Davis Schneider. Lukes can backup CF. You really don't need this guy. I hate how he is in the lineup every time a lefty is on the mound for the other team. So what if Varsho is in the lineup against a lefty?

I'm still not a fan of Straw, but he definitely makes the team better than Schneider at this point. Ideally he would start a bit less and just be a great glove/baserunner off the bench, but the bat has been good enough that he deserves the playing time he's had.

Schneider was brutal the second half of last year, didn't look any better to start this season, and only has a 100 wRC+ in AAA.

If you really want Straw out of the lineup more, you can give more playing time to Clase, who's looking pretty good. If you want a better bat, bring Roden back up (he's destroying minor league pitching) or give Will Robertson a look (he is, too). Hell, if you're set on a right-handed bat, I would go with Rainer Nunez before Schneider right now. I want Schneider in AAA until he starts dominating for an extended stretch.

Makes sense. I just thought I heard Schneider has gotten hot for Buffalo lately and might have earned a callup. Straw, after his hot start, is back to being Straw with the bat. He has not hit a lick for a while.

What does it look like tonight? 20 runs in the first inning, 1 over 10 innings, perhaps they become the first team in major league history to score negative runs?

Time to shake the magic 8 ball.

I am sorry, Myles, I am sorry. Baseball can make a person look like an idiot really fast lol.

As long as you understand what you did wrong everything will be fine.

Talk to your doctor about the Oakland A's. Possible side effects are more hits, more doubles, more runs, more homeruns, more wins, ...

Call 911 for an A's game lasting more than 3 hours.
