Blue Jays GDT: Next: vs (not) Oak | Sun, Jun 1 | 1:30pm ET/10:30am PT | Sears vs Gausman

Belt had a good season. I would not say he was a bust he was simply not healthy enough at this point of his career and was also pretty damn slow at everything which was also age related and not ideal with Kirk in the lineup. It was not a surprised that it was his last season.
Yeah, Belt was a great signing.

Lol Brandon Hyde taking the fall for incompetent management and/or cheap ownership. I don't think Orioles struggling is his fault at all. I'd take him as a replacement for Schneider in a second.
Management botched it by cheaping out and not retaining/replacing the player who left, but the team was still projected to be a playoff team. People are disappointed with the Jays being a couple games under .500 while the Orioles are 15-28.

The way Barger is swinging you’ve gotta give him some chances against LH pitching.
I'm all for letting him start more often against lefties, but until he starts showing something against them I think you still want to pinch hit for him in big late spots.

Having Straw as your go-to righty off the bench is a bigger problem.

He’s just such a different hitter right now that I don’t think you can look at past results as meaning much.

It’s one of those chicken/egg things where the player won’t actually start hitting LH pitching unless you give him regular reps.

I love that Kirk got that clutch hit, again, but what pisses me off is how he can only get a single out of that. Is he slower than usual today? Looked like he was grimacing a bit, but other than that I don't know.

He was clearly hurting on that one. He took two normal steps out of the box, grimaced, and then broke into a jog.

As slow as he is, on a play like that he usually comes out of the box hard looking to get to second and then backs off as he rounds second.

Haha Tigers gambled and lost. Tony woulda been an out, Ernie walks it off.
It was an awful decision. Even at his best, Santander is more of an all-or-none hitter and Ernie is a contact guy, and all the Jays needed was a single.
