Not sure that matters much with how hot the Tigers have been, to the point Javy Baez has somehow come back from the dead.

The way Kirk is hitting he's probably better protection for Vladdy at 3 than Santander currently is, and it wouldn't be a slap in the face really to Santander to move him to cleanup. I don't think there's any way the move their prized offseason signing to 5th or 6th in the batting order, though.
