He’s been a bit unlucky. Making good contact but not finding holes.

He also really hasn't had any extended run. He comes up as an injury fill-in, and then the fact that he's stumbling makes it easy to send him back down. He could benefit from a few weeks of being able to play through mistakes and see if he can adjust to problems and/or that his batted ball luck evens out.

It will be interesting how Gausman performs after that 53 pitch inning he had last game.

Solid 1st inning for Gausman. Hopefully that means the debacle that ended his last start is behind him and we're back to regularly scheduled dominance.

I know someone has mentioned this before, what's the deal with Vladdy and the way he interacts with opposing players that reach first base? Recently i've seeh him hug a player, bop them on the head, right now i just saw him pull on a chain behind his jersey. Does he do this to distract them or he's just not focusing enough on the game?

Oh Bo Just homered! Nice.

You can see that he's a genial, happy guy practically all the time. Lots of players have talked about talking to the opposing 1B when they reach, they just aren't as upbeat about it. I hardly think it means he's "not focusing enough on the game."

Oh yeah I've seen players talk all the time. But I just don't recall this lever of interaction as Vladdy has. I first noticed it a year or two ago when Rowdy Tellez reached base and they were horsing around, but i figured they were teammates and came up together etc...

Varsho strikes out twice today on the exact same pitch in the exact same count.
