Blue Jays GDT: Next: vs CWS | Fri, Jun 20 | 7pm ET/4pm PT | Martin vs Turnbull

Outstanding hitting from the top 3 in the order. Kirk is in a funk, hitless in this series. I still don’t see what this team sees in Davis Schneider. Lauer great pitching along with Yariel.

This team is relentless offensively.

Something that can’t be said about previous Jays teams in this era.
And yet just the day before yesterday, dread started creeping back into this thread because we couldn’t hit against the Phillies. Ignoring the fact they trotted three of the best starters in the NL out against us that series.

Nice to see them bouncing back against a decent Arizona team

Yanks getting owned by the likes of Kyle Hendricks and Jack Kochanowicz. 17 Ks in 11IP from two sub 16% K% pitchers.

It'd be nice if the Rays stopped winning.
They spotted Baltimore an 8-0 lead in the second and the O's still couldn't hold them off. Stupid Baltimore.

On the plus side, the Jays are now closer to catching the Yankees (2 games back) than they are to the third Wild Card spot (2.5 games up). That Philly series really sucked, but it's pretty awesome to see them bounce back the way they have the last two games... a dramatic 9th inning comeback and then a blow out.

What has happened to Gausman this year? He’s looked like absolute shit so far.

I think he said that in the last couple of months he's had trouble with his splitter and honing it in to throw it where it needs to be. If he throws it too low it's an easy take. Too high and it flattens out and becomes basically a hittable fastball. That coupled with the degradation of his fastball has made him easier for hitters to square up.
