Many 3rd base coaches would have sent him and made them complete that play given the inning and score. Might have been out but some aggression wouldn't be bad when we are so inept at the plate.

Semien has hit a wall this season

Just like pretty much everyone does between age 33 and 35. Turns 35 in September and he looks cooked.

Guys hit their mid-30s and outside of the odd unicorn they just can't catch up to the velocity opposing pitchers throw at now.

It's hard to fathom there's actually worse offenses out there than the Jays, but Texas might actually qualify.

Ghastly. Seager is still Seager but outside of that yikes.

Their two big gets in Burger and Joc have been pretty rough too.

There's 6 teams behind the Jays in term of runs scored. Baltimore, White Sox, Kansas City, Texas. Colorado and Pittsburgh.

Colorado is my favorite in that bunch

The NL west for the most part, has been a good division. San Diego and Arizona have hit a bit of a wall but still a group you'd rather not deal with.

Not Colorado. They've been so putrid they're dragging the collective run differential into the red....by themselves

It's worth mentioning that Rockies have barely played within the NL West too, so no record padding going on for the most part.

Texas also has one of the best pitching staffs in the league, and a top 5 rotation. To even get 2 off DeGrom and not strike out once is a big feat. Next up are two pitchers that have been even more dominant this year (though Mahle is due for a correction).

Gausman outstanding again and he had to be with this anemic offence. Only two runs to work with, he had to near perfect. Santander absolutely abysmal again.

Man they really caught lightning in a bottle two years ago for their championship. Seager was a beast as usual when healthy, but huge contributions from Garver/Heim, Garcia and Semien put up great numbers, Jung was healthy and playing well, Carter raked after his call up...

Since then, guys like Semien and Garcia have fallen off a cliff, injuries have derailed seasons (Carter), and none of their additions have done anything. At least Langford has been a bright spot
