I was desperately hoping he'd keep some momentum until the deadline in the hopes of finding someone that might be fooled into taking him.

Seems like it happens sometimes. Gausman’s velo was way down for much of last year and he’s back throwing 97-98 this year.

But whenever you see a velo drop with a guy over age 30, it’s concerning.
