I think it’s a combo of bad weather in some cases, slow starts from some players, and too many contact hitters in the lineup.

Like i don't think anyone is clamoring for a Jake Bloss call-up when he's been horrendous at that level to start the season.

Going into the season with only 4 starters was a gamble. I wonder if they try an opener and then pitch Lucas to begin the 2 or 3rd.

I dunno man. The bottom of the order has been getting on base for the top of the order. They just aren't clutch. Most of the scoring is happening earlier in games. Hardly any later in the games when they are down or are hanging on for dear life with a 1-2 run lead.

Bo is hitting well, and so is Vladdy. Santander is hitting poorly. However, those three have a combined total of three home runs, which isn't good enough.

The issue isn't being clutch because the team is 13th with RISP AVG. As of yesterday, they were first in the league scoring runners on 3 third base with one out.

The issue is the power. They get hits when needed, but so far, the majority of them have been singles. I doubt it is the hitting coaches because from what I read, they mention attacking the ball and doing damage. The problems are what I outlined: a slow start, poor weather in a couple of cases, and a roster that has too many contact hitters.

I would let him start one more time. It sucks because his next start will be at Yankee stadium.

I said when they signed Scherzer, if he can start his first 15 or so starts, that will be huge because Manoah would be back, and Bloss would have had a long run at AAA.

The organization has done great, not rushing guys, so I doubt they bring up Bloss early.
