To this day, I just don't understand what they were looking to get out Tavares.

They had one of the leagues best players fall into their lap for no assets. It's very difficult to say no to that. I'd go as far as saying I doubt any team would turn that down.

He did it to himself but he's still young enough where he can correct course. Time will tell if he grows from the earlier mistakes he's made. Pittsburgh is going to be a lot different than Toronto, the window is closing rapidly. I think the type of player he covets would do well with the stars in Pittsburgh though.
