Did the NHL day they were clamping down on visors this year? Komarov just got a penalty for his visor being too high?
So you’re allowed to continue play without a helmet if your helmet comes off but you can’t wear your visor up?
He's grandfathered too. He doesn't have to wear one. So dumb.
The odd thing is that Komarov is grandfathered in and doesn't need to wear a visor at all. So I don't understand why he chooses to wear one and then tips it up so it provides no protection and risks making his team shorthanded. Just take it off...
You realize there is a difference between helmets and visors, right? So you’re allowed to play without a helmet but if your helmet is tilted you get a penalty... ok

You can play without a helmet as long as the visor is tied to your ears.So you’re allowed to continue play without a helmet if your helmet comes off but you can’t wear your visor up?
10 minutes into the first game of the season and the refs are already ruining games
wtf let me ref I would do better than these idiots
The refs are following the orders of the league, i.e. doing their jobs. The league is clamping down on these issues to get out in front of the inevitable lawsuits that players initiate when they get injured and say that the NHL didn't do enough to protect them.10 minutes into the first game of the season and the refs are already ruining games

Think a few players got cut from it before. Can someone explain why a tilted visor is bad.
Is it some type of safety issue for the other players in the ice?

Visors have cut many players while worn "properly" as well.Think a few players got cut from it before.
