Im going to need new skates and I have Nike V10 skates and love them to death. I have used them for about 4 years and they are beat. They need new blades and I got a qoute on the blades and it was something like $150 for new blades since no one else had those skates around here.

Now I am thinking about buying a pair of nike bauer vapor XII I have tried them on they seem nice, real light and I like the style of them. I bought a cheap pair of eastons from one of my teammates whos wife bought them for him and I wore them during warm ups and put on my old nikes. The Eastons felt like my inline hockey skates and piviot points were completely wrong plus the ankle didnt move a inch.

I have had good luck with my V10s and I hope the best for these vapors that are only $95 dollars. I dont play pro just about 3 times a week in different leagues from just C leauge to play all the way up to A league in a different rink an hour away.

So anyone have these skates?

Yeah Got to remember that I live in BFE iowa and everything around here costs alot for crap like that. The skates I have are just torn up. probably seen a good 300 games since I have had them. Has anyone had the Vapors XII?

Been skating on XXIIs for a while now, love them a lot. Obviously try on a lot of pairs, but they're certainly a good skate.

How big are you and how often do you skate? The XII's are going to be below the XXII's by a bit and will be somewhat lacking in boot stiffness. If you are only 150 lbs and play once a week, yeah, sure. But if you play a lot or are bigger, spring for the extra money and get the XXII's or higher.

As a coach I had the holder seperate from the heel on my pair of 16's within 3 months of practice wear (no blocked shots/mens league/etc.) I believe the holders for the 22's are better quality. The majority of players on our team use NBV/195 skates with good results

I bought them and LOVE them. I know the equipment man from the ahl team and he told me that he would put new runners and blades from vapor 40's on em at the end of the year.

you should have waited and got the X:20s or X:30s instead of buying from the vapor line. although you probably will get a good deal with vapors.
