According to NHL app, the Devils will make the playoffs if our scoring can improve, and if Zajac, Henrique, and Larsson all play well.

Doesn't seem too far off.

Shocked the Brunner rumors haven't started back up with Grabo now off the market. Pretty much sets the value for Brunner at 2.5m or so

Brunner aint getting a penny over 3 now imo. still want him. cheap, with a good upside

Brodeur on TSN: hopefully if Clarkson doesn't score for five games #Leafs fans aren't too hard on him.

HA

Grabovski is also making buyout money so his salary command is a lot less than what it would normally be. Doesn't set the bar for Brunner one way or the other.

I know Marty was just playfully joking about his buddy, but it's the truth.

After the cheap stunts his agent pulled, I hope he DOES get crucified.
I wish him well because I do like Clarkie, but that agent is a massive tool like Kaoss said.
He went 13 straight without a goal last season. 11-12 his high was 9 games and in 10-11 he had two separate 17 game droughts.

Also, 6 of his 9 assists last season came in the first 10 games...

Yeah I was frustrated with him a lot later in the season. He only scored 4 or 5 goals the last 34 games, and went one stretch in where he was outscored by the entire 4th line, and even Poni. Deboer also gave a lot of Kovalchuk's minutes to him when he was injured, and that infuriated me. I was probably too hard on him though, it wasn't fair to really ask him to produce like he did the first 14 games. Though he was pretty bad for most of the season. He probably got paid for his 30 goal 11-12, and his 15 goals in 48 in 2013 looked good, but when you look at his droughts and what he did the last three quarters of the season it was pretty ugly.

I still think he's somewhere between the 50 goal pace Clarkson we saw at the beginning of the season, and the 12 goal pace Clarkson we saw for the rest of the season. He could be a 20-25 goal guy in a good year. The assists won't be pretty though.

Forgot he wasn't signed yet. Hopefully he doesn't pull a Ryan O'reilly. How could an agreement not have been made yet? We have cap room, an owner with money...how far apart could the sides possibly be? Or is Lou waiting for something else before he signs?I don't really care I just want to know for sure already. I don't like question marks.

It's still August and there's lots of RFAs still to be signed. If he misses the start of training camp, then there might be some worries. O'Reilly and the Avs were trading barbs in the media while Henrique seemed optimistic that they were close, so I wouldn't sweat it.

Yea Henrique has been pretty positive and confident they'd get something done. I guess there's just nothing going on and I'm getting a bit anxious.
