Yet, we choose to sign Kampf for more money and more term while offering non of the intangibles from Acciari.

Yup but any GM worth their weight, will figure this out pretty quickly. I don't expect him to fix the team in 5 weeks, I do expect him to fix this team by October.

At this point the only way to fix it would be to rebalance the cap distribution and only 1 of the 4 can be traded.

Acciari was good but he seemed to stand out so much just because the rest of the team doesn't play like him. There are lots of guys who can play a similar game for less money. If it was a 3yr 1.5M or 2x2M deal I would have done it...but he really was a unicorn and I think Tree wants to have more than one this time around...so he was nothing special to MLSE.

I think you'd have to get some medical documentation and cooperation from the player that LTIR for all of 2023-24 is the path forward.

If we read between the lines, seems like defensively the Leafs are likely done but they really need to add scoring. Whether it's 1 big scorer or a few depth scorers, we'll see.

Murray's comments at the time of playoffs, especially at the locker clearout day where he said he was ready to go. Would be a hard sell LTIR story for him with the league. I wish we could "Lupul" him; but that would be hard.

He's been breaking news a lot lately. Definitely not a hack. He actually was the first to report the Reaves contract.

He's close to a lot of agents and players. I would say he's got enough credibility.
