Not only should he not have, but that's also different from your initial claim that he was.Look at my post above yours. He should've been pulled before that

It would be risky, but the cap space can be used on fixing the defence. That’d be quite risky to just put all our eggs in the Woll basket at this moment.
My claim was he lost the net. I was not incorrect. Not only should he not have, but that's also different from your initial claim that he was.

You gotta take risks to win the cup. Gambling on a great goalie signed to league minimum is the kind of risk I'd take to improve the team elsewhere.
Vegas showed you can win with cheap goalies. Now if only this team would show even half the effort the Vegas players do, they might actually get somewhere
My claim was he lost the net. I was not incorrect.
Woll provided better goaltending and should've been put in far sooner
You were incorrect. He did not "lose the net", which means being removed for performance reasons. He was our starter until he got injured and physically could not play.My claim was he lost the net. I was not incorrect.
Dubas really made this a hard job for treliving
You would think they would be breaking down the door to sign short term deals like the way Bunting did. There is NO WAY on this earth that Bunting gets 4.5M if he played in Arizona for the last 2yrs...not a chance. Look at Engvall....7yrs at $3M and Soupy last year in Vancouver. The list goes on but for some reason these players are being short sited. We build up everyone to be hockey Gods here and the media hardly criticizes anyone....I don't get why we are not turning people away let alone chase them to sign here. It's true. Look what 25 games did for Luke Schenn.
It is not worth it.. dont take the bait lolIt would be risky, but the cap space can be used on fixing the defence.

Well it's too late now but I would've kept Schenn around as Rielly's partner, especially at his cap hit. I don't mind Klingberg but he's not the right type of player an already soft team needs.I’m curious. Understanding Rielly is going nowhere and we literally just signed Klingberg, what/who would you move/target on the backend?
If we could just somehow dump him off, we would be able to do a lot of things. Need to add draft picks (how i have no idea) over the next two seasons, and then go again.
The problem with having stars and scrubs, is stars are hard to trade and no one wants to trade for your scrubs. They will just wait until we walk them to UFA status.
Acciari was good but he seemed to stand out so much just because the rest of the team doesn't play like him. There are lots of guys who can play a similar game for less money. If it was a 3yr 1.5M or 2x2M deal I would have done it...but he really was a unicorn and I think Tree wants to have more than one this time around...so he was nothing special to MLSE.I don’t understand why Treliving didn’t bring back Aciari. He was a good fit here and he’s easily worth the 2 x 3 deal he got.
That's a lot of words to say he lost the netYou were incorrect. He did not "lose the net", which means being removed for performance reasons. He was our starter until he got injured and physically could not play.
It's actually a small amount of words to explain how he didn't "lose the net" - terminology that has a widely accepted meaning that is not how you're using it.That's a lot of words to say he lost the net
Murray can be the backup in the AHL but otherwise I agree with ya there. Unfortunately Jones is the only capable 1B left on the market. I would've loved Reimer back at the contract he got in Detroit. It is not worth it.. dont take the bait lol
I agree run with woll and a vet or murray if you cant move him
This coming season i would almost bet it would be worth it to make it political.. this is what we get with our 4 horsemen
Schenn won 2x Stanley Cups in Tampa and was still on minimum wage. He forms a great pairing with Hughes and is still on minimum wage. He has a couple of good months and a fight with Tanner Jeannot and trash talks on the bench on HNIC and he's secured his family nearly $9 million. That's the power of the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Yes, I would love to add Max Domi on a 2 year, affordable deal. Give him some stability, bring him back to the GTA and let him flourish.

Didn't want Jack and don't really care he signed but could they have chosen a worse picture LOL he looks like the damn Michelin Man
Max Domi would be greatOur center position is looking very suspect especially if you think Tavares is really starting to slow down.
Kampf is a good defensive C and I don't mind the re-signing but he shouldn't be put in any type of offensive role and we still don't know what Holmberg really is.
We'd be smart to inject some skill and speed at that position.

More specifically, your claim was that the goaltending was a disaster. Then when someone pointed out that Sammy had overall quite good numbers, you pivoted to this nonsense. Are you trolling or are you just not particularly bright? My claim was he lost the net. I was not incorrect.

They didn’t have Dubas destroying them for the last 5 years with a butter soft grossly over paid coreHurricanes make it to conference final and this off season have already added Orlov and Bunting and seemingly are the front runners for Karlsson. Must be nice.
I am not trying to be rude but you are completely off your rocker and have no idea what you are talking about.

Really no worse then risking our season with running everything back for the 8th yearThat’d be quite risky to just put all our eggs in the Woll basket at this moment.
