Leafs to sign Josh Bailey

Sounds like Jarnkrok 2.0

SCOUTING REPORT
A Swiss army knife on skates, he has the offensive capabilities and defensive chops to play anywhere in the lineup, in any situation, even after turning 30. The No. 9 overall pick in the 2008 NHL Draft is a reliable mid-level scorer who can be the defensive conscience of a scoring line or an offensive presence on a checking-oriented trio. Does not do anything brilliantly but does a lot of things competently. Is a far better passer than shooter.
Long Range Potential : Versatile forward.

Not sure he moves the needle for me

Bailey on a cheap 1 year show me contract would be fine value. He can chip in offensively. You need those players through your lineup. Not everyone needs to be a meathead garbage goal scorer.

Not my first choice but I can see him being a solid depth pickup.

Will it be a day of underwhelming UFA signings followed by the announcement of the Auston Matthews extension?

Don't care about the rest. Really want Bertuzzi. Glad they walked away from Luke based on the dollars he got. No way they sign Bailey. WTF

I feel a lot better with Kampf at 2.4M than Jesper Fast at 2.4M. A winger that can score a little more ain't really worth the same.

2 extra years of term for bottom 6 players is a big deal. Kampf at 2 years wouldn't have been criticized as much. Carolina is a smarter organization that doesn't look in replaceable players for too long.

Actually, to be fair this team desperately needs garbage goal scorers.
Treliving topped it already
Trotz just outdid the post.

Why doe it have to be meathead. Josh Baily had 8 goals last year and 25 points
That's essentially Jimmy Vessey and he sucked

Bailey was never anythign special and his better days have seen better days
