I feel a lot better with Kampf at 2.4M than Jesper Fast at 2.4M. A winger that can score a little more ain't really worth the same.

& Reaves essentially replaces Simmonds as the 12th forward.
Shanahan said the core 4 and the coach were all coming back as Leafs are running it back before Treliving was even hired.

Reaves with term is a huge red flag. Josh Bailey and Max Domi rumors aren’t great either unless on 1 year deals

We’re working with the information we’ve got. Leafs could always pull off a miracle that makes the current moves irrelevant or not as consequential, but right now Treliving’s tenure has started with an overpayment to Kampf, a reach at the draft, and a rumoured overpayment on a long-ish term deal to Reaves. Granted the draft is more on Wes Clarke, but still.

My experience the guys with the mouths are little touched in the head and tend to have a toxic personality... the risk of bringing in those types is it affects your locker room more than the opponents, there is a reason why Domi has been on SIX teams since 2017/18

They've been holding back for this moment for weeks like they're making a family and we're experiencing a little bit of premature whining. They'll be spent in a few days. In the meantime it'll be fun engaging with it and winding it up a little as well.
I mean, each of those players has a role to play. Nylander is a scoring winger that wants to be paid close to Marner and Matthews who score more and some of the better defensive players in the league.
I love what Nylander brings, but he can kiss Treliving’s ass if he’s asking for more than 9 million per.
