At NA3 level, offensive highlights are far more important for scouts to see than goaltending (low advancement position) or physical play (hits are hits, dime a dozen).NA3 Plays of the Week Feb 17-23
On thing I nitpick with the NA3 Plays of the week, its almost always goals, not saves or big hits. Just my two cents.
Send that note to her bosses. That girl is good on the videos…
I guess I see them for fans and not for scouts. At NA3 level, offensive highlights are far more important for scouts to see than goaltending (low advancement position) or physical play (hits are hits, dime a dozen).
Same footage for both "experts" groups.I guess I see them for fans and not for scouts.
Too early to talk about playoffs when several of the reg season competitors haven't given up yet. 3 of the 5 divisions have their playoff teams locked up, but the Frontier Division has two open slots while the West has one opening. Give 'em time.Fraser cup coming up…
It's not the Cyclones as an organization relying on GFM handouts, it's a billet family raising money for their 3 house guests (and maybe other players if the campaign yields donations beyond the billet couple's initial costs). The billeters made a decision to open a GFM account to cover their "adopted" kids, and have made it clear in their solicitation that "this fundraiser is not affiliated with Wausau Cyclones organization, it is in direct support of Wausau Cyclone Players as individuals." NA3 is a pay-to-play league, so somebody other than the team is obligated to pay up to cover both regular season & playoff participation costs.![]()
Donate to Support Wausau Cyclones' Playoff Dream, organized by Jessica Nofsinger
Hi, my name is Jessica Nofsinger. Myself and my husband, Todd Nofsinger, are … Jessica Nofsinger needs your support for Support Wausau Cyclones' Playoff Dreamwww.gofundme.com
Somehow the Wausau Cyclones are relying on a gofundme in order to go to the playoffs. They have the 8th most points in the league and good attendance. Not sure what happened there.
It also says: “The young men recently found out in order for them as a team to be able to go to playoffs, they are going to need each player to pay a staggering $1,350 per player within 2 weeks.“ So maybe the Cyclones aren’t soliciting donations as an organization, but this seems to apply to every member of the team. Team fees for the entire season are usually laid out very specifically at the beginning of the year, while this playoff fee seems like a previously unknown addition due to team fees being unable to cover playoff costs. As far as I know, most teams are able to pay for their playoff trips purely from initial fees that players agreed to at the beginning of the season. Maybe I’m missing something, but I’ve never seen anything like this before. I also wonder what happens if they don’t reach their goal? It's not the Cyclones as an organization relying on GFM handouts, it's a billet family raising money for their 3 house guests (and maybe other players if the campaign yields donations beyond the billet couple's initial costs). Thanks for the additional info, as I couldn't initially access all content of the GFM post on my phone.
