What are the best links and browser to use to watch Rangers hockey on an android phone or tablet?

Last game somebody said Streamo using the Dolphin or Chrome browser but it did not work for me. I'm not sure if Streamo was working at that point.

Any help would be great appreciated. :)

In order to watch any online stream with a link from a browser you will need flash. There are some paid browsers who offer flash support, but they are often difficult to navigate and load the flash content properly. I have had very limited success with flash browsers on a phone, but have never tried a tablet. I imagine it would be easier.

Other than that your options are the Gamecenter application from NHL with a paid subscription.

Not a ranger fan but I use wiziwig to watch on my old droid (2.2 so should be ok with newer models) I use the default droid browser as well. Wiziwig usually has a few streams for each game, the low quality flash work best for me. :)

some streams have ads that redirect to the play store tho, just a heads up

You absolutely don't have to pay for a flash capable browser on android. Firefox or Doplphin browser are free and can use flash. However, starting with 4.1 Jelly Bean you need to download and install the flash apk manually as it is no longer officially supported. And it gets even more difficult with 4.4 KitKat.

From my experience Flash streams are rather difficult to get running on a smartphone or tablet. Using other streams would be preferred.

This is the knowledge I am missing, thank you. I know that flash support on my Galaxy s3 is not there at all without a browser that supports it. Last time I tried it, I didn't have much luck.

Hopefully flash goes away and we can deal with HTML 5 video eventually.

Google 'flash apk macromedia' and the first result is the direct link to the apk from adobe. To install it you need to enable installation from unknown sources under the security settings. Afterwards flash should work in pretty much any non-stock (ie. built in and chrome) browser. Dolphon (Jetpack) and Firefox are the most pupular choices.

Absolutely. Flash is one of the worst things of the internet. It needs to die (and fast). Thankfully there are quite a few signs that it's receding, but it will take a while.

Awesome, thanks man. I had Dolphin but never got the apk, so it all makes sense now. :handclap::D

I watch using streamo on my android. Using the default browser whatever that is.
Have not had to update or install anything to be able to get it to work

If you are on an Android 4.4 phone, the default browser is gone and you will have to use the method described by jniklast. If you have an older version of android, you can use the default Browser, but will need to find a version of flash and install the APK.

on my iphone i use an app called puffin. its a flash enabled browser. i just use the link to streamo provided by loffen in the gdt. its definitely choppy, but it gets the job done. i can make out whats going on most of the time if internet/service is good also the audio seems to be in sync most of the time.

How can you watch a hockey game on something smaller than the ******* puck?

Photon browser for Android. It has some pesky ads and can be a little annoying while learning how to use it, but it works with no add-ons required and has some great features. I use it every time I'm stuck out somewhere since I can't get flash player working consistently anymore.

For streamo, when you are on the splash page with the 2 mirror links(before you reach the page with the actual stream), click the lightning bolt on the toolbar. It will prompt to continue with ads and refresh the page, then click the link to load the stream. Enjoy!

Often times I'm too tired to go in the living room and watch the game on the big screen. So it's nice to be able to lay in bed while watching on a tablet. I know it sounds difficult, but realize you're so close to the device's screen. And with an HD feed, it's actually very convenient and enjoyable.

I also do the same when I'm traveling for business.

I installed the flash apk but the stream does not open up on Dolphinn or Firefox.

The stream does work on the Photon browser that has the built in flash but that browser has a small screen and is filled with ads. Any idea how I can get the Dolphin or Firefox to work with the stream?

FWIW...

If you were to actually purchase the NHL Gamecenter package, there are apks on android and apps for a jail broken Apple device that will fake your GPS location. That way you can circumvent local blackouts and watch in glorious tablet HD...

I do that with my jail broken iPad all the time.

Mods if this is questionable content, I'm sorry and please delete.

Instead of dealing with all if these sites that may or may not even work and are definitely illegal, just invest $299 one time for Slingbox and then you can watch on your computer or for a nominal charge you can download the IOS or Android app and you can watch anywhere anytime as long as you have Internet access. Beauty about Slingbox is that you can control your DVR so you can record remotely and watch when u want. Picture is HD quality and very reliable. Nothing better than chilling pool side in Aruba with a cocktail IPAD and Ranger hockey !!!

What version of Android do you have? You need modified apks for KitKat

hockeystream.com streams to tablets. Works fine for me. No app but a website that works fine for iOS at least.
