This has been a weekend so far of tremendous content. A lot of games with real stakes. And the one with perhaps the least giving us the most insane consequences.

Since Ryan Day said in a team meeting "Michigan better hope for a mercy rule because we're going to hang 100 on them"... Ohio State has gone 0-4 against Michigan and scored 84 total points.

How do you lose this game? All you needed was one big play if you were Ohio State.

Going into it I thought there was a plausible path where Michigan kept it closer because of their defense. But I never imagined them actually winning especially with a box score like that.
Thier kicker missed two easy field goals, but the actual answer is that their quarterback is Will Howard. ;)

Apparently Day has been spending the last month or so putting feelers out to the NFL through his agent. That’s the current rumor coming out of Ohio.

Who the hell is going to give him a HC spot? Chicago I guess could be that dumb, but that feels like a bit much for them. Even Jacksonville I don’t think wants to go to the Ohio St well again.

Day getting the Jets job would be the funniest possible outcome. That gig is career poison.

I don’t know I guess if the pressure gets to be too much maybe an OC job in the NFL is potentially in the cards?

I watched the extended highlights of yesterday’s game, it honestly looks like him & Kelly wanted to prove they were tougher than Michigan with the way they called the game. Opposed to calling a game that operated more in space with their playmakers.

I'm with you on that one. I'm specifically wondering if he would take the Houston OC gig because Stroud is a launching point if they can fix the OL. Big If.

Are we even sure that Day would work as a play caller in the NFL? Exploiting cover 2 with crossers is a lot tougher in the NFL than it is at Ohio State where he has a collection of first round WR's going against interchangeable depth DB's on the other side. Other than that, he's pretty much a spread run guy. His offenses have always been about overwhelming talent rather than brilliant scheme.
