I want the committee to justify USC east not being one of the 12 best teams in the country. I don't care about the head to head with Bana/Ole Miss. That is legitimately a very good football team on 11/30.

Clemson and Ohio St going down within minutes feels like a win for humanity.

For the first time, I think Day needs a good Playoff showing to keep the job. This was a true disaster.
He's the weak link. You can't have A+ everything and continue to come up weak in your biggest games on the schedule.

I said before the week started if they beat Clemson, they should be in. They're good. H2Hs can't trump extra RS losses on comparable schedules.

Before today, I would have been confident in a neutral site game (or two) vs Oregon, despite my strong aversion to Will Howard.

I sincerely wanted no part in watching two football teams play each other three times in one season. The way the College Football playoff is structured means that it will happen with two SEC teams or two Big 10 teams at some point.

I’m perfectly ok with it if Oregon went 3-0 to possibly erase past heartache.

I am very much ok with slightly wonky seeding to avoid this.
I wondered if they would do it.

Had Ohio State won today and beaten Oregon in the Big 10 Championship, you can't seed Oregon worse than 5 in the playoff without explicitly admitting you're rigging the bracket.

Had Ohio State won today and Oregon beat them in the Big 10 Championship, then you could get away with putting Ohio State on the other side of the bracket from Oregon... but they still could have met in the Final...

Final is fine to me because they earned it. It’s not what I want to watch, but you can’t worry about two teams winning 5 total Playoff Games.

That’s a Fumble and he should be forced to transfer imo.

If Penn State wins they’re in. Indiana would need to win & Penn State to lose to get in. Ohio State would get in with both Penn State & Indiana losing.

Honestly would have rather had the extra week of rest given how banged up they are right now. I’d imagine the result doesn’t really matter that much for either team.

Gus recruited that region (SWGA, South AL, the panhandle) at an incredibly high level, so I think this makes sense. Auburn may have run him out, but he's better than anything they've had since.

I've come around on this. Conference championships still matter. Franklin's done it once in his time at Penn State. As a UGA fan, I'm struggling lately with the national championship or bust mentality. It just sets you up to be miserable most of the time, lol.

How do you lose this game? All you needed was one big play if you were Ohio State.

Going into it I thought there was a plausible path where Michigan kept it closer because of their defense. But I never imagined them actually winning especially with a box score like that.
