Some of the conference tournaments have already started.

Dobes & Gorniak have already played Game 1 of their respective series last night. If Dobes wins tonight, Ohio State eliminates Penn State. If Gorniak loses tonight, then Wisconsin is eliminated.

The ECAC tournament has already started, as well. Harvard received a bye as one of the Top-4 seeded teams, so they're only playing next weekend.

Hockey East & NCHC finish their regular seasons tonight. BU has already received a bye seeing as they clinched the top spot. They play next weekend. All that remains is to see if Northeastern will also receive a bye or be forced to play a First Round game on the 8th first.

And for Minnesota-Duluth, it will remain to see who they will play in the Quarter-Finals next weekend.

- Ohio State lost in OT. So they will require a 3rd and deciding game tomorrow. Dobes had 28 saves on 30 SOG for a .933 SV%.

- Wisconsin is eliminated as they got swept by Michigan in 2 games.

Gorniak's and Smilanic's seasons are over.

Gorniak ends the season with 12 pts (5G, 7A) in 31 GP
Smilanic wnds the season with 2 pts (1G, 1A) in 14 GP

- Harvard will face Princeton next weekend in a Best-of-3.

- Minnesota-Duluth will face St. Cloud State next weekend in a Best-of-3.

- Northeastern finished 3rd in Hockey East, and thus gets a bye to the Quarter-Finals, that will be played next Saturday. Who NE & BU face will be determined on Wednesday, where the first round match ups will be played.

Dobes is playing @ 5PM ET. Game 3 vs. Penn State.

If Ohio State loses, they are eliminated from the Big Ten conference tournament. However, they could still make it to the Nationals as one of the 10 non-champion participants.

If they advance, they will be facing Michigan in a single elimination semi-final game next Saturday.

For the NCAA tournament, Pitlick, Hutson, Tuch, Farrell are all but locks as they are likely too high to be at risk of dropping far enough to fall out. Dobes and Ohio St should be ok as they are tied in the pairwise at 11th OA which is about as far back as you want to go to feel like your going to still be in if you lose tonight.

Struble's team is on the outside but right there at 17th OA so if they can win on Saturday night that will help a lot, of course if they win the HE tournament then they get the auto bid.

Michigan State eliminate Notre Dame and advance. They will face Pitlick and Minnesota in the semi-finals.

The Big Ten semi-final match ups are set for next Saturday in single elimination games:

- Pitlick & Minnesota vs. Michigan State
- Dobes & Ohio State vs. Michigan

So no Farrell before the 12? Does Havard have good chance? I want him to win it all but want to see him in a habs jersey soon lol

We shouldn't expect Farrell to be signed before the Nationals. Because even if they don't win the ECAC Championship, which gives them an automatic entry to the Nationals, Harvard will end up making it by Pairwise (standings that determine if they get invited by the committee).

The earliest he can be become available is if Harvard loses in the semi-finals or finals of the Regionals (which will be played between March 23rd and 26th).

Tonight is the First Round of the Hockey East Tournament. After the games are finished, we'll know who BU and Northeastern will play on Saturday for the Quarter-Finals.

in 2 years UMass went from winning the NCAA championship to being knocked out in the 1st round of the NCAA tournament last year and now they are getting smoked by BC so their season is over. Their program has been on the rise the last few years so it will be interesting to see what happens there as the Hockey East is a tough, tough conference. So many good coaches, programs but that's why it's been one of the big 3 of college hockey conferences.

the other 2 games are tied in the 3rd

Looks like Hutson/Tuch will face Vermont who were terrible this year but upset Maine (who have an interesting undrafted FA goalie)

just to show how bad Vermont is, they are currently ranked 50th out of 61 teams.

Updated the OP with the Hockey East quarter-finals. BU will face Vermont and NE will face Providence.

Single elimination games this Saturday.

Also, Tony Granato has been relieved of his duties at Wisconsin.

I'm hoping Harvard gets eliminated ASAP. I want to watch Farrell in a Habs jersey.

Harvard will still go to the Nationals because they've been one of the best teams in the NCAA. So if they don't go through an automatic bid as ECAC Champs, they will go because the committee will send that.

So for me, the earliest he'll be available is the weekend of March 25-26. That is if they don't qualify for the Frozen Four.
