NBCSN moved to a lower (ordinal) number on the dial

Within the last few weeks NBC Sports Network has moved on my local cable system from Channel 74 to Channel 34. This is much closer to the other sports channels, i.e. four letter network, the deuce, Big Ten Network. Much better placement and chance of people flipping on the channel by accident as opposed to going all the way up to the end of the channels. Has the channel number changed for anyone else recently?

I just discovered last week when requesting it at the gym that it's 220 now on DirecTV. Versus was 602 I wanna say when I had DirecTV 3 years ago.

On my system, the news channels are all grouped together in the 20s, most of the RSNs are in the 80s (except for one at 60), and the non-ESPN/2 channels are in the 140s.

it's moved down for me too on dish network. and the best part is it used to be in a different pricing tier i didn't want to pay for but now it's in my current package.

Yea it was actually about when I got DTV.

Right in the same area as the other major sports networks, ESPN, NHLNetwork, NFLNetwork, etc.

Regional networks are in the 600s.

We have TWC, and actually, OLN/VS/NBCSN was the first sports channel in this number zone, and there are now 8 channels:

469 NBCSP (looked better as NBCSN)
470 MLB Baseball (does it really need the "baseball?")

472 NBA Gametime
473 TNND (just found out this is tennis )
474 CBSSD

And the ESPNs are in the 420s.

So now there are more sports channels away from the ESPN channel zone - maybe the ESPNs should move up to where NBCSP is.

and the Dodgers SNLAD just opened up at 431 - with the closest sports channel being ESPNews at 426 and no sports channels above them.
