Bjugstad is a nice looking youngster. Really big, with good hands.

But he's also really slow.

He looks like he has a good chance to become a solid 2-way 2nd line C.

but he has nowhere near the skill that Kadri has, as the numbers clearly show.

The comparison is awful considering where the 2 players are in their career

Bjustad is 21, Kadri is 23. Where was Kadri 2 seasons ago? Another thing is, Bjustad came straight out of college where Kadri had time to develop in the AHL. Their development is completely different

People say, lets give Kadri more time to improve his faceoffs then why doesn't Bjustad get more than half a season to show his offensive ability? Also, you cant be telling me Kadri doesn't have better linemates than Bjustad

Just awful :shakehead

You feel that gust? That was the point, flying right over your head.

It wasn't MY comparison. I'm not the one who derailed this thread with Nick Bjugstad.

Bjustad is getting handed top line minutes, and yet still isn't scoring like Kadri did in his first full season. In fact, over 48 games Bjugstad has produced exactly HALF as what Kadri did over his 48 game rookie year last year.

You compared Kadri's season last year to Bjugstad's first 48 games this year. So yes, that was YOUR comparison, and it was a bad one whether the guy you replied to was right or wrong. If you're right about something but you use a dumb comparison to try and make the point, it's still a dumb comparison. I'm not the only one that called you out on that, yet here you are getting exasperated as if we don't actually understand what you're talking about.

Like I said, I'm not saying I agree with the guy, which I guess you missed in your rush to get all full of righteous indignation. But that doesn't make your comparison less ******.

It's the moment a person brings up "intangibles" that I just can't keep reading

Hey Im not the one who brought it up. Dude says bjuugstad>>Kadri but because he does other stuff.

not exactly sure what he is referring to. Sounds insane to me.

 people here call Hartkinen a good prospect yet he is a year older than Kadri. Kadri must be a super prospect...

I'm not one of these people who either devotes huge amounts of time to following every team in the league or just pretends to. So my only opinion of Bjugstad is that he played really well against the Leafs. He's young and he's big, but it won't be easy developing on such a hopeless team.

I love how Kadri is one of the most hated players in the league. Gets people off their games.

LOL. He wasn't hurt and kadri pretty much hit him from the side. It really was the turning point in the game.

I have to disagree, the turning point of the game was the 4th line shift that woke us up.

We had a great cycle going followed by the fight. Right after that the Kadri line followed it up with a good shift after we had been sleeping all game.

I was yelling at my TV lets get some emotion going, and after that 4th line shift it came.

After that there were many key moments, but at the time that was the shift that seemed to wake us up.

Credit Orr, Mclaren and Mcclement.

Let's get real. The turning point was the Bozak goal. So clutch.
The Kadri play was pretty instrumental though i think.

This guy is a game changer. When is the last time the Leafs drafted one of those? Brian Burke you genius

have been pretty critical on him but have to give props when its do.... naz has been playing great lately and (knock on wood) seems to be turning the corner

"turning the corner"?
He is on pace for a 62 pt season in a full season as a 23 year old, i.e. 40 pts in 53 games. I would say thats much better than "turning the corner".
Those are elite offensive player numbers. 1st Overall pick RNH has 42 pts in 55 games for the Oilers playing on the 1st PP unit and is considered to be having a good season.
