Rory has blowing the driver right and has not adjusted his face angle or aim off the tee. If he can get to 18 with a lead and not blow it right he should win.

Gotta like Rose's chances here, right? These heartbreak finishes to drop into a playoff never seem to end well...

Only one I can remember working out is when Sergio missed a shorty on 18 in 2017 and then came back to win in the playoff... over Rosie!

Rory spent no time over that putt. That's good if that's how you normally play. No time to overthink.

But he seemed to want it to be over with. Rushed it. BD's putt was too fast to show the break and Rory didn't play enough.

Now he needs to dig deep and find the same thing he found on 15 and 17.

That's his new routine, been doing it for a while. Steps up, no practice stroke, goes right after it.

I can defend him going quickly there, but as for the routine itself... he hasn't exactly been nails on the green today, so maybe it hasn't been so helpful today...

Jeezus - Rory just stabbed at the putt on 18. Just a hideous stroke. How does he not have spiders in his head right now?

I've never seen anything like today. You either power through the nerves and keep the pedal down, or you succumb to the nerves and collapse. Rory somehow managed both, seemingly alternating between the two on any given hole. What a ride.

Up there for one of the best I've ever watched.

Yeah that was some shit.

I've been in competitions where I've had a bad run and then finished strong, and gone into playoffs, etc. Every golfer has experienced this at some level. But to seemingly throw something THAT big away, several times, and then somehow stabilize and hit 3 basically perfect shots in the playoffs when your competitor finished his round with a birdie AND has had plenty of time to practice those same shots over and over....

Slaying the Demons.

I wonder how hung over he is rn

edit: didn't he also set the record for double bogeys by any winner? Crazy

yesterday was the first time in a long time that I just didn't watch the Masters. Good for Rory.
