The guy is absolutely on fire and is a treat to watch. Cannot see him losing the art ross this year with this current play.

Even in 3-1 games he gets 2 points at least. Definitely the best player in the league the past two seasons.
This is quite ironic as he’s looked the worst he has in some time. For a fairly long stretch too. It does bode well for us that he is managing to put up points through this bad stretch however.

McDavid/Kucherov/MacKinnon have been jockeying for top 3 for awhile now.
Yep, and currently Mack has the crown

Strange time to post this considering there is so much season left and he is 5th in points per game. It’s been a tale of two 17 game blocks. Had 33 in the first 17 and 19 in his last 17.
Well he’s certainly doing better than McDust. Kuch could well catch him though

The points are nearly irrelevant imo. His level of play is what’s been annoying. He’s making so many bad decisions and even the simple plays are routinely a struggle for him right now. It’s a major part of why our powerplay has been so consistently poor for the last two months.

Maybe, I don’t watch Edmonton enough to know. But I do know that declaring his play as “on fire” as you say is not accurate at all.

Also what’s the obsession with points per game? I and the majority of people when looking back care about hardware.

You know, the art ross trophy, which McKinnon is currently winning at??
It shows the level that each are playing it. Kucherov is on pace for 140 points, MacKinnon 125.

You jinxed it now, McDavid and Draisaitl going to win the Art Ross.

It's debatable. McD has joined the pack after being clear leader for several years.
Still, the debates are all too predictable.
Guess it's better than chatting about tonight's games. I have clicked around to all the games. Keep switching YAWN. Panthers seems to be the best of bad bunch.
Net Flicks ...... some movie titled " Rumours" Pretty funny actually.

Bring on WJC ! Boxing day.

Pretty odd timing. He's been cooled off for a month now and looks absolutely awful lately.
Before Nuke came back would have made sense. Ever since then, he's been scoring a lot of points but killing possessions with lazy, low IQ turnovers and playing atrocious defense. He seems fine physically, but his brain is somewhere else.
