Are you serious? You think DD or Plekanec is the solution?

And Mikhail Grigorenko is? I still have faith in Pleks to turn it around after his slow start. At his age he should still have another year or two of being a decent 2C (considering just a year or two ago he was a decent 1C). Is he an ideal 2C? No, but as far as I can tell Grigorenko isn't even a 2C to begin with.

And we need Beaulieu.

Beaulieu is a third pairing D who has recurring issues with puck management, possibly locking him where he is -- questionable hockey IQ.

Plekanec is on a downspiral and will not be a factor for the playoffs.

What is Grigorenko's upside? Is he or does he project as anything more than a third liner?

10-15G with 35-40A playmaking ability... he's pretty good defensively too

This season would not be suprised to see him hit 10-25-35

He's a good solid player

Don't see much benefit for either team.

Both guys are probably better used as the adds to a bigger trade than as individuals anyways

As of right now I'd say KHL within 2 years, possibly as soon as next year.

What year is it?

19-2-5-7
On pace for 10G 30Pts... Only 22

In all honesty he prob gets picked by LV and puts up 40-50Pts next season getting PP ice time.

He's solid

Only chance for Grigorenko to land in Montreal would be if Roy was behind the bench. He was also his coach in juniors. Roy sees in him, what others fail to see.

He really is not that great, quite honestly. I would trade him for Beaulieu without much concern about it.

Think the value is probably in the Avs favor, but the Avs have no forward depth and really can't afford to trade Grigs if an NHL caliber forward isn't coming back.

i feel like grig is one of those eller type of player, they are frustrating to watch play because you feel like they have everything to succeed offensively and it just doesnt work

at the same time its the same thing with beaulieu on his offensive ability. but our LHD is so lacking that i dont know... does grigs need to be protected? im guessing so
