Myers is UFA in off season. If Forsberg wanted to approve deal would cost Boeser plus a 1st plus a decent prospect at minimum.

Why would you be sure about that? I doubt Ottawa would be happy to give up either of those players for one season of Saros.

Ottawa also needs young productive players, bad. There's very little left in the pipeline to replace what they would lose with either of these guys. It would be easier to get passable (not Saros level) goaltending than it would be to replace what Pinto and Greig bring to the team.

Now if Nashville was willing to eat the Korpisalo deal as well that might change things but I doubt that would be part of the equation.

Except that one time we had two centre's on Ltir with shoulder injuries. We have a history of injured Centers.
