Myers need to sit

Hes a complete liability. It's looking more and more like his rookie year was a fluke....

If someone wants to trade for him, or we can package him with an Ennis for some scoring help we have to do it...

Leopold has been the worst player on the ice this entire season thus far... Put Myers with Sekera please... or when Regehr comes back him.

Leopold was much worse than Myers in this game
Not even close. Leopold was bad but Myers was the direct cause of almost every goal against.

Myers is horrible right now and has been for most of his career so far. He thinks the game at a very slow speed. He's soft. He makes the most idiotic decisions with the puck in the offensive zone. He has great 5-15 game stretches every year towards the end of the season that makes people forget how horrible he played in about 20 games and how average to below average he played in the other 40+

In his sophomore season we had a fairly long losing streak. Myers was ****ing horrible in every single game and I said he needed to be benched. It seems like he's just one of Ruff's untouchables and he hasn't progressed at all because of it.

I would sit Leopold. Pair Myers with someone else to see if it wakes him up. Both look bad, but I saw SOME (Few) good things from Myers (Nice clears down the stretch, composed for a shift or two with under five minutes left).

Leo's been much worse. I'd love to see Leo in the press box for a game or 10 and Myers with someone who doesn't suck and see if that helps.

I'd also sit Leopold. I'm tired of hearing the "Myers is too young, you don't sit someone so young for fear of losing them completely" or some **** that I hear Paul Hamilton and a few others say. I think sitting him might put it into perspective for him.

But yea, Leopold is a complete mess and liability. I'd waive (ideally trade) the dude if I was GM - no care in the world for me.

I don't know why we would package those 2 for scoring help. Our problem is on D not up front. We scored 7 goals tonight, how does trading a defence man for scoring help make us better? Myers has been bad, but he needs to be paired with someone other than Leo before we give up on him.

Agreed with this, he made a couple good plays under some pressure at the end.
I don't get why lindy refuses to put him with sekera...then myers can free wheel and rej can stop trying to be an offensive dynamo and play his normal stay at home game...

Sit Myers just to give him a chance to get his **** together. It doesn't have to be interpreted in a heavy-handed / insulting manner.

At least break up Myers and Leopold..

Yes. Should've been done during the game.

I think he knows he has been terrible, so sitting him a game won't send him a message he doesn't already have. Lindy just needs to separate him from Leopold and regulate his ice time. I'm a little scared that we have 5.5 in cap space tied to a guy who seems to be regressing. He went from burgeoning franchise defenseman to mediocre defenseman to complete liability.

No he doesn't. One bad game and you want to ditch the guy for who? Brennan? Let's get real and embrace an amazing win.

Myers has had a lot more than one bad game this year.

Bottom line, Leo-Myers need to get split up. Both hesitate, both are soft and only stick check. :help:

And he's had a lot of terrible games that weren't with Leopold. The same way that Leopold has had a lot of terrible games without Myers.

Lindy is trying to mold Myers into that lines "defensive anchor". But Myers is below average defensively so it's a huge mess.

Myers makes a bunch of ****** plays...but he's had a few glimmers of hope.

I cannot think of one positive play Leopold has made this entire season.

Myers is not living up to expectations, but for as bad as he's been, Leopold has been worse. #3 should see the press box before #57.

Leopold should sit 3 games. Myers 2 games. Have them both watch from the pressbox. I don't know about Leopold, but Myers would probably absorb a few things while up there. Didn't he come out like a madman for a few games the last time he sat? It could work :dunno:
