At the deadline....

Montreal:
Little

Winnipeg:
McCarron/Juulsen
2017 1st
2018 2nd/Pateryn

Personally as a Jets fan I would do this. It will hurt in the short run though.

I'd do this in a heartbeat, but doesn't really fill any needs for Winnipeg

McCarron can play wing or centre (if I recall).....if/when Little is traded we need a 2C to replace him. McCarron could become a big bodied 2/3C.

Juulsen could become a top 4 guy albeit he's wrong handed, not sure if he can play left side or not.

1sr & 2nd Rd picks are nice, even if they are late each round. Pateryn is meh.

Personally I would take McCarron over Juulsen, plus the picks.

Value isn't bad but idk why winnipeg would do it

Playoffs are unlikely this year between young team and injuries (helps us tank this year). Little has only 1.5 years left before UFA. I wouldn't resign Little to a 4-5 yr deal when he's already will be 30-31 years old. See Ladd in NY.

I bet we could get way more for Little.

Not interested in stocking draft picks.

Not sure we could get more, never mind way more.

Ladd got us what was projected as a late 1st and a 3rd line prospect.

McCarron, 1st and 2nd Rd picks is a pretty solid offer (best offer out there, not sure but very solid) IMO.

In the 20 games last playing for the Habs how was he used?

Wing or centre?

What line?

Who was his more common line mates?

Any special teams time?

How did he look in TC this year?

Decent value, I think. But really bad timing. Jets have been woeful lately without Little.

I'm saying no, and only because of how little depth we have had so far at C. With Petan going to IR (what a surprise), it doesn't look like anyone could potentially break out this year and take over Little's spot. Next year? Maybe, if Roslovic/Petan (or maybe a high draft pick from this year) can force his way into the lineup, but until then, no to trading Little.

Little is a 1C and how many of those are available for a trade every year, exactly?

By 1C you mean Mark Scheifele ? Little is an injured 2C who has 1 3/4 year left on his contract.

So no, you won't get more than 2 1st round pick and a 2nd for him.

Let's breakdown your comment.

Downplay Little. Check.

Upsell your magic beans and unneeded prospect. Check.

Montreal's 1st should be a late one (not all 1st's are equal). McCarron shouldn't be the center piece of a trade for little. A late 2nd? Keep it.

How about starting a "value of" thread for Little? Let's see other teams offers.

Downplay Little. Check. Calling a Little 2C is downplaying him ? Who the **** do you think Little is ? You really think people here thinks Little is a 1C ?

Upsell your magic beans and unneeded prospect. Check. I was just referring to OP proposal. If you're not happy with it its not my problem.

You do that if you want, I couldnt care less.

Seems you care enough to respond. :naughty:

Now, how about that "value of thread"?

Little is a low-end #1 C. Think RNH, Plekanec at his peak, Mikko Koivu level. 1 3/4 years left is not a rental.

If all 1sts are equal (since you keep saying 2 1sts like that means something without context), make it Sergachev instead of what's looking like a late pick in 2017 (unless Price gets hurt again).

McCarron is extremely unlikely to ever replace Little. A late 1st is extremely unlikely to ever replace Little. What do the Jets need if they trade Little? His replacement or a very good reason to absolutely wreck their top-6 like losing Little would do. This is neither of those.
