I don’t see any scenario where the kings trade Clarke. Makes 0 sense

I just can't see an scenario where the Kings trade the 8th overall pick in their draft year. Just isn't gonna happen.

LA says no but the habs are fine on D right now with Romanov in the lineup and Guhle, Harris, Norlinder and Mailloux in the pipeline

Well with the way Guhle is shaping up, do you trade him for Toffoli/late 1st, Lehkonen and a 2nd?
I'd deffs give up a lot for Clarke but this offer won't do it for the Kings and understandably so...he's also not a pressing need with our current pipeline.

To be fair, they're also the equivalent of three 2nd round picks given that the CGY one is a late 1st
As a habs fan I'd do this trade if we didn't already have Guhle, Mailloux and Norlinder in the system. With those 3 and Romanov, our top 4 should look good in a few years.
Awful. The only player in the Habs organization that might get Clarke is Caufield

Clarke is a legit high end piece. Habs would need to build a deal around a Caufield level player. Not suggesting Caufield per se, or that the Habs have an alternative to offer, but that calibre.
