In 22-23 Pinard had the 2nd highest goals per game with 14 in 34 games on the entire team.

Yes better then Suzuki Dach etc.

Now he’s on waivers???

NYI please. They have too much junk in the bottom on their lineup.

Injured all season thus far after regressing hard last year. Didn't look great in the AHL, one point in five games. Very out of game shape so you're claiming him if you've already thrown in the towel on the season and have 25+ games to give him to work out his rust and low confidence.

Thought he was decent. Must claim material.

Must have stopped watching in 2022-2023.

Was pretty ordinary in 2023-2024 and missed almost half the year to injury (10 pts in 45 games).

Broke his leg last summer, missing half the offseason training, training camp and just came back on a conditioning stint. He was good in his first AHL game back (due to adrenaline), but after that the rust showed.

There are many players who went unclaimed that would have been better immediate options than RHP.

He needs to play and regain his mojo, but you will be hurting if you do it in the NHL.

If Matthews and Knies weren't coming back today, I would take him on the Leafs, and just re-waiver him once the injuries clear up

They are back today but they still have enough injured players that I do wonder if Toronto takes a look here.

His nickname was Lavallagher but once he got a sniff of success at the NHL level the effort fell off a cliff. A wake up kick to the pride could be a win for someone desperate enough to take a chance but can’t see him being claimed.

Doubt he gets claimed on his own merits but I could see a "conditioning stint" in Toronto given their injuries up front before he gets re-claimed by Montreal like 2 weeks later and sent straight to the minors as intended à la Nathan Walker/Alexander Urbom/James Reimer/etc.
