from a pure value perspective….

first off…flipping 2 and 6 has never happened and historically a majo difference.

the difference between 13 and 26 is astronomical. 13 usually is a career nhl er who fits a 2-4 D or middle 6 forward while 26 is a maybe this player actually makes the nhl beyongpd a call up of a couple games.

more likely 2=6+13+1st 23 only if there isn’t a too 3 and a drop of or you have a clear #1 then big drop.

You are literally making this up. That isn’t how it works. At all. Historically, there is basically no difference between either draft position; look up the draft history. Theoretically, you should have a better chance at getting a good player at 13, but looking at the draft histories, that doesn’t seem to be the case.

I didn't expect to see this kind of comment until we were closer to the draft. I don't think he is for whatever that's worth.

OP: interesting trade; I would do it because I think 2OVA is probably worth the two 1st alone. The late 1st just makes it too good to pass on as a CBJ fan. I think a 2nd or 3rd would be more acceptable to Habs fans.

Totally understand. But I don't think it's unreasonable for a rebuilding team might value 3x1st rounders (1xtop10, 1xtop20 & 1xtop30) vs 2ndOVA and a late 1st. Not saying one is right or wrong, just not a "homer-trade" worthy comment.
