About Laine playing with Rantanen and Aho on their first line, (Kick ass Finland line)
Also The Canes will need cap room to resign Rantanen next years.

Seth Jarvis would sure fit the timeline and gameplay style of MTL.

MTL : Laine (75% 2.175mil) + Armia + Kapanen (All Finland players ;-))
for
Canes : Seth Jarvis (At 7,4mil)
for
Third team that retains 2,175mil for 2 years on Laine and MTL gives 3rd 2025 pick.

Armia could sure take Jarvis spot on their third line.
Kapanen will be a great 2 way center for the next 10 years, he's killing it in the SWEHL, he will be a NHLer full time next year.

There’s plenty of space for Rantanen without trading away any more core pieces.

-Laine isnt a good 5 vs 5 force, not that a powerful element for playoffs contention. Tough to value the best NHL PP specialist to a Stanley cup contender
-Armia cant be wellknown for other fan base. Nobody could figure that he has numerous stats in the top 5 NHL defensive this year.

Please lock this. The Canes aren’t trading Jarvis. He’s unbelievable and he’s also RBA’s chosen son. Still only 22, over 19 minutes a game, almost a PPG, Team Canada member and locked into a beautiful 8 year deal.

He’s almost the definition of an untouchable young player. Laine doesn’t even get a conversation started. You are completely overrating the Finnish angle. Armia “surely replacing Jarvis on their third line” says everything you need to know to know about this proposal.
