Of course both YES and SNY exist in large part because those teams didn’t want to deal with Dolan anymore back in the day.Like I said in the other threads about MSG’s streaming package, they need to find a way to partner with YES and SNY. There’s a lot of crossover between fans of the NYC teams, and not everyone (and most people are not) are Rangers/Knicks fans. I don’t care what the price is, but I’m not paying to just watch the Rangers, Isles, and Devils. f*** basketball, I just want the Rangers and Mets, and there’s plenty of other people who have other combinations of preferences.
They exist because they realized there’s a boat load more to make by owning their own RSN. Dolan even tried to buy both teams at different occasions when they each left MSG.Of course both YES and SNY exist in large part because those teams didn’t want to deal with Dolan anymore back in the day.
I don’t think this is really geared toward the casual fan. They will get the diehards who got rid of cable. Its just too expensive to casual fan. For hardcore fans who watch a lot of games it might be worth it but overall is still priced to high for many to be convinced. The only way it gets priced reasonable is if the tv deals come back down to earth to adjust for a more reasonable subscriber cost.
It is priced to not lose the cable fees and have cable outlets drop the channels as a result.I don’t think this is really geared toward the casual fan. They will get the diehards who got rid of cable.

Thats a ridiculous high price not to mention in a couple years it's going to hit $40. I think this type of streaming service is a good idea but it needs to be priced better.
Whats even worse is peole like me who watch one of these teams pays less for the whole season then with espn then those who live in the market pay for 2 months.
