Out of all the "improvements" you listed, there is one that I think would have been a needle mover for us, Giroux. Chiarot is garbage, actually hot steaming garbage. Lindholm is mediocre not showing much and no improvement for us. Hagel is a decent enough, but I don't see him changing our team.
Picking up Giordano I think has more upside than Lindholm, and Chiarot is a huge negative with very poor defensive play and lots of penalties. He makes Roman Polak look mobile.
