What kind of offers would Jets' fans be willing to make-
1- without retention on Marcus Pettersson?
2- up to 50% retention on Marcus Pettersson?

No big need for either TBH, Jets would want a 2C far more.

Names has done a surprisingly ok job but need more,
Well then lock it up mods. I've seen several rumors mentioning Winnipeg as having interest in Pettersson. Must be fabrication. Move along.

Evanston, IL
Pens fan here, this strikes as their biggest need heading into the playoffs.

Jets are firmly set at 1 and 2 left D for the next few years with Morrissey and Samberg. Pettersson would slot in at 3LD if Morrissey and Samberg are healthy. They could use a top-4 right D much more.

Can we offer you one Ryan Lindgren? 50% retention.
That's a player I wouldn't mind at all. He's shown some grit in the playoffs.

There's a healthy debate around whether Dylan De Melo is a capable #1 RD, but it's hard to see him getting bumped down the lineup when he is +10 in his last 7 games. Lindgren as a 3LD isn't a bad idea, as Dylan Samberg was having a breakout season before injury, Neal Pionk too, and Pionk has struggled since with temporary replacements.

So it would make the top 6 of the defense a lot more stable. He's got fantastic PK metrics and I think that's an area the Jets want to improve.

Not sure what the value would be for Lindgren. If it was a 2026 2nd, 2025 3rd, and a b prospect I'd jump all over that one.

Any improvement over Stanley is a welcomed addition. I just fear the organization has cemented Stanley into the lineup and are not eager to bump him out.

That’s a decision that will burn them when Stanley’s lack of mobility and knack for taking penalties gets exposed in the playoffs. They seem willing to die on the cross for Stanley when it wouldn’t be too difficult to add an upgrade over him.

Lindgren today is not the Lindgren you think off. Rather put my assets on something else
