Are you serious? Your star playerd are literally going out of their way to avoid hits or get in the dirty areas.

They think they going out for a sunday stroll and you dont question heart?

I hate this revisionist theory that Kadri was useful. He had his moments where he played decent hockey, but was ultimately a dirty, me-first player. Untimely suspensions like no tomorrow, starting more shit than he was worth. Kadri only plays good when it benefits Kadri, as shown by his career year when it's time for a new contract.

As sad as this team is, they're still better off without him

Yeah. So what, he misses a few games in the playoffs. Same as Tavares, but we'd have 6.5 mil to get another centre or dman and upgrade the goalie.
 
This team isnt beating TB
It isnt about goaltending
It's about our mentally and physically weak team .

TB is beatable this year there goaltending is average.

Sheldon why didn't you start our first line ?
Why did you take bunting of the first line ?

Maybe it always feels this way in a loss but our goalies just seem to bury us in big games. Andersen had a 10 GAA in the 1st period of game 7's for a while and gave up a weak goal in every deciding game he played.

Campbell was awful in the back half of the Montreal series. And we never get a weak goal like the one he gave up to Gallagher in game 7 last year, or the goal off the half wall Andersen gave up in game 5, or the 1st goal in game 7 vs Boston that wasn't even a scoring chance, or the GWG to Debrusk the year before.

But year the team is really bad too. Running it back if we fall apart again would be actual insanity.

Can’t believe the piss poor effort to start tonight. Knew Tampa was going to come out hard and they were completely unprepared. Game was over before it even really began. Bloody shame.

If we lose this series, and simply can't get rid of Tavares, I think Nylander should be traded and we pick up a good $7 million dollar dman. It's one thing to coast during the regular season, another to coast in a playoff series.
 
Not overly worried about this. As usual everyone has a meltdown and over reacts. Its a back to back playoff schedule. I expected a loss, was not surprised by the result. Effort was lackluster.

Just need the powerplay to heat up and the goaltending and defense to show up.

They either come out flying in Game 5 and trip over themselves in Game 6, or they lay an egg in Game 5 and come out flying in Game 6. I don't see a world where they just play a hard, mature and hungry game twice in a row to win this series. I also don't think they'd be ready for the shit storm that would be Game 7.

Oh sorry, when I said leaders I was thinking just Marner, Matthews and Rielly honestly (I guess JT too). I don't consider Nylander a leader... he is a supporting piece that I doubt anyone looks to for anything other than a goal or two. He is no leader, and I don't think he pretends to be... the fact he bailed on that play tonight should surprise no one.

Ross f***ing Colton beat the Leafs on one heavy forecheck shift in the first 10 seconds and some growling Darcy Tucker faces for good measure. It was pathetic.
