I've had this thought for some time that the cup winning goal this year is probably my most watched highlight of all time. Across all sports, all years, I cannot think of a play I have watched more. Derek Fisher's .04 shot maybe is in second place.

I do wonder how much technological advances play into it, but for me it is not even close.

Anyone have a highlight that they have watched more? Brown lifting the cup for the first time? The "major" penalty in 2012?

I watched that 5 minute major a LOT. I would guess that's #1 for me. #2 would be 2014 OT Cup winner.

As far as YouTube #'s are concerned - the '14 Martinez goal is tops my a mile. 500,000 views on the handful of the same clips posted by various people.

On a COMPLETELY unrelated note - why the hell is YouTube's search so terrible? It's OWNED BY GOOGLE. /rant

5 minute major and Martinez winner so many times, also game 7 SJ Kopi and TT goals.

But the absolute most for me is probably 2001 v Detroit. The fantasy and Deadmarsh OT winner got me through 10 years. First few years on VHS I had it recorded on, then Youtube. Still never gets old. Crazy how much I treasured one playoff series win, now we have 10 in three years.

Alec Martinez's OT goal is my all time favorite goal scored by a King. That makes it my all time favorite sports moment. I still am looking for a high resolution picture with his jazz hands to blow up at Costco.

I've been watching a lot of the playoff games lately. The other night I watched Game 2 of the SCF. That was a crazy game.

Another random observation but the whole notion that the game play is elevated in the NHL Playoffs is very much true. I know everyone knows this but is evident when re-watching those games during the regular season. Watch how different the Kings look in any of their wins in the playoffs. They are a machine. Just the pace of play is incredible (opponents included).

The Kings second Cup run is going to be more memorable for me. When the swept the Blues in Round 2 in 2012, I knew they would win the Cup because I knew they could beat any of the remaining teams when Chicago was out. Still, watching it unfold left me speechless at times. The 2014 run was a rollercoaster. I threw in the towel when they were down 3-0 against the Sharks. I have no problem admitting it. I was just hoping for them not to get swept.

Pretty much agree with everyone on current highlights, adding in that game 1 2012 finals goal by Kopitar.

Prior to 2012, I watched this VHS youtube video about 10,000 times.

Ditto for me for both highlights.

Let's face it guys, if this technology had been available in 1982, we would have all trolled the Miracle on Manchester. Just wasn't available at the time.

The 2001 comeback against Detroit is #1 for me too. I watched the Miracle on Manchester on TV, but in 2001, I was in the building with my 11 year old son, and with Detroit up 3-0 between the 2d and 3d period, his beloved Kings staring defeat in the face, my son started to cry -- and I told him:"Its the score at the end of the 3d period that counts" and I wondered if I was just the sappiest dad in the world -- and then the Kings made me look like a great dad, and I remember cheering all the way down Figueroa. :handclap:

Yeah, it's probably better to search for videos in Google with site:youtube.com.

I was too until Game 5 brought it back to Staples. I knew we could win at home and I knew we wouldn't lose a Game 7 to the Sharks. At that point I started to believe!

Great story!

I find myself rewatching the Penner buzzer beater game winning goal against the Blues in 2013 every so often. It wasn't as important as other highlights (it was only the 2nd period), but man is it satisfying to watch.

I've found myself looking up two clips more than once, both from the 2012 cup run:

The Brown to Kopitar short-handed goal vs the Blues in the first period of Game 2.

The Kopitar overtime game winner vs New Jersey in Game 1.

I might be the only one, but the Bobby Ryan hit on Moller, and then subsequently, the Doughty hip check on Ryan. Sweet, sweet revenge. Yum.

I have 3 that I have watched the most.
1 - 2012 Stanley Cup winning game highlights
2 - 2014 Stanley Cup winning game highlights
3 - Brown's hit on Sedin in round 1 of the 2012 playoffs

maybe it's just me but I think DB's empty net goal in game 4 St Louis 2012 was one of the most important moments of kings history. 1) beat the blues (we never did that) 2) swept them 3) moved passed 2nd round for first time since '93 and 4) may be the first time i had a god honest feeling that we could win the cup, instead of the whole, "well, the Kings will find a way to muck it up" feeling.

that and jazz hands were my 2 most watched replays.

Jazz hands. Still get misty eyed over that goal, more so than the last 3 minutes of game 6 in 2012 with Jim Hughsons call over naming important figures in Kings history and than just letting the crowd take it home. Just the excitement of a 2nd OT, at home, in a game that the Kings can win the Cup with just one shot. And it happened.
Plus just the build up that led to that point. Down 3-0, and come back to win the series 4-3, than down 3-2 in the next series and winning in 7 games. Than adding a O.T. winner in game 7 of the Conference finals. The roller coaster ride of last years playoffs. My god, every emotion was hit, and that's why I've watched the jazz hands highlight over and over and over again.

#11 will be hanging from the rafters someday...

(and in other news, it will be sunny and 74 tomorrow - and did any of you see that rainbow this morning?)
