Most unexpected songs you've heard played at a NHL arena?

So I was watching the Flames/Oilers game from last night, and out of nowhere I hear "Saria's Song" from Zelda: Ocarina of Time playing over the PA.



Can anyone else give some examples of songs from unexpected sources? I don't remember what game it was, but I recall hearing what sounded like a Megaman song at a game earlier this season.

Dallas plays a lot of video game/wrestling music. I believe during a fight they play guile's theme

The Devils decided it would be a good idea to play Three Dog Night- Joy to the World (aka Jerimiah was a bullfrog) after a fight this season. Really got the crowd fired up.

High Speed On Ice by Talas. I was shocked and I'm sure I was the only person there who knew the song and group.

Talas was a group founded by bass player Billy Sheehan. He went on to play with Mr. Big and David Lee Roth.

Ya that Ocarina of Time song was shocking to hear just out of the blue like that. At least those Punch Out!/Guile themes that get played during fights fit with the circumstance. Still pretty neat to hear.

If you would have told me in 1990 that Raining Blood would not only be played at an NHL game, but it would be used for the opening puck drop, I would have laughed at you. Fast forward to about 2007 or 2008, and sure enough it was being played in the Igloo on a regular basis.

Eventually it also made it's way over to Columbus.

I heard Have a Cigar by Pink Floyd over the Blues broadcast the other day. I thought that was pretty cool/unexpected.

I actually came in here to say I heard Zelda during last nights game.
I love that game and was so pumped to hear it. Im 31 years old and was in a room with 10 guys, im sitting there freaking out pumping my fists super excited to hear Zelda on the PA and everyone is just looking at me like im nuts.

I love that they do it when something weird happens or they disagree with a ref's call even though them playing it always gets the song stuck in my head.
